The carbohydrates are our main power source. One gram of carbohydrates contains 4 kcal. The human body prefers the carbohydrates and uses them as chief power of energy. Carbohydrates are mainly contained in vegetable foods. Even fibers are part of the carbohydrate’s group. They do not deliver energy, but are very important for the digestion.
